OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our holistic approach to design connects our clients wishes and preferences with the architectural context of their home and its surroundings. By incorporating pattern analysis and geometric theory, the foundation of our outdoor living spaces have a fluid connection to the architecture and the interior of the home. The use of natural materials and a textural planting palette, offers a unique sensory experience, providing a living space which emerges with new life and new significance.
Our objective is to improve the living environment for our clients while respecting the natural condition. It is always our preference to create a true exterior for living, a space which can become a compass for the simplest of everyday customs to a place which can bear witness to the most permanent of our memories. Our passion to create sustainable environments leads us to re-deploy found stone and other materials where possible and incorporate indigenous, low maintenance and drought tolerant planting that corresponds to the the time-challenged and eco-conscious needs of today.
One of the greatest challenges of landscape design is that the spaces we create are subject to the sixth dimension, time. We also find ourselves creating spaces that are often an exterior extension of the functions which occur inside the home. Often these spaces are given less consideration when in actuality, they should be given more. Not only is the front entrance your first impression of your home but by extending our client's lifestyle needs to the outdoors, we are providing them with the opportunity to capitalize on their most often prized asset, their real estate investment. In doing so, we are also creating a living space for their family to enjoy.
